Privacy Policy (Datenschutzerklärung)

1. Controller

AMZ-PRODUCTS GmbH, Krummspät 78, 26810 Westoverledingen, Germany, represented by Thomas Porrmann, Lisa Saadthoff. Email: [email protected], phone: 0160 7757026. Further details in the imprint. This policy follows the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which applies to us as a company based in Germany.

2. The essentials

  • The calculator runs entirely in your browser. Your date of birth is not sent to us and not stored by us.
  • We do not set cookies, do not use analytics or tracking tools and do not load content from third-party servers (fonts and design files are hosted with the website itself).
  • If you buy the Life Path Report, you pay with Stripe. Stripe processes your payment and contact data (section 5). Neither Stripe nor we receive your date of birth.
  • There are no forms and no customer accounts on this website.

3. Hosting with DigitalOcean

The website is hosted by DigitalOcean, LLC (New York, USA). Each time a page is requested, the server processes technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, requested address (including any parameters, for example from an ad), amount of data transferred, browser and operating system, and the previously visited page. Purpose: delivering the website, security and stable operation. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure, working service). The recipient is DigitalOcean as our processor. Data may be transferred to the USA; the transfer is based on the EU Commission's adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR, EU-US Data Privacy Framework) where the provider is certified under it, otherwise on EU standard contractual clauses (Art. 46 GDPR). We do not analyse these logs. Storage period: logs are kept only as long as needed for delivery, security and troubleshooting, at most 14 days, and then deleted. Individual entries are kept longer only if needed to investigate a specific security incident (for example an attack), and only until it is resolved.

4. Storage in your browser for the report

Only when you click “Buy report” or “Open my Life Path Report” does the page store your date of birth in your browser's local storage (localStorage) on your device. This is necessary so that your report can be created in your browser after payment. When you come back later, the page reads the stored date back into the calculator so you can open your report without paying again. The data does not leave your device; we cannot read it. Legal basis for storing it on your device: § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG (strictly necessary for the service you requested). You can delete it on the report page with “Delete my date of birth on this device” or in your browser settings at any time. When you click “Buy report”, the page also stores a flag without personal data (value “1”) that shows that a purchase was started from this browser; only then does the page show the button “Open my Life Path Report”. This flag also stays on your device (same legal basis) and can be removed in your browser settings.

5. Payment with Stripe

Payment for the report is handled by Stripe Payments Europe, Limited (1 Grand Canal Street Lower, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin, D02 H210, Ireland). Clicking “Buy report” opens Stripe's checkout page. There you enter your payment details (for example card details), your email address and, if requested, your name and country. Stripe processes this data to carry out the payment, prevent fraud and meet legal obligations. We receive the purchase details from Stripe (amount, time, email address, name and country if provided, payment status), but no full card details. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract) and Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR (retention obligations under tax and commercial law). Stripe may transfer data to affiliated companies in the USA (Stripe, Inc.); this is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR) where Stripe is certified under it, otherwise on EU standard contractual clauses (Art. 46 GDPR). Stripe's own privacy policy also applies on the checkout page. Storage period with us: we keep purchase records as long as statutory retention periods (German Commercial Code, Fiscal Code) require and delete them afterwards.

6. Contact by email or phone

If you write to us or call us, we process your details to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR) and delete them when they are no longer needed and no statutory retention obligations apply.

7. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and the right to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21). Please contact us using the details above.

8. Right to lodge a complaint

You can lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), for example the authority responsible for us: Die Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen, Prinzenstraße 5, 30159 Hannover, Germany.

9. No automated decision-making

There is no automated decision-making including profiling (Art. 22 GDPR). The life path number is a simple calculation in your browser.
